Creative Process

  • Óptima Visión sought to redefine its identity beyond being an optical laboratory and store.
The challenge was to design a space that integrated nature, lifestyle, and brand communication — making the optical shop a place to meet, work, and connect.

  • The guiding concept was to “project lifestyle through space.”

    • Stage 1 (Green Roof): A living roof was installed above the optical lab container, with native species, roses, and grass panels, co-created with gardener Valentina Costa. The goal was to add seasonal life and a contemporary identity to the architecture.

    • Stage 2 (Coworking & Brand Space): A multifunctional space was created to merge optics + café + music, reflecting the lifestyle of its users. The design followed an industrial-vintage style enriched with a Patagonian sense of community, including coworking areas, flexible displays, and brand storytelling elements.

    • Green roof installation with native planting and lateral planters.

    • Brand-space design process: moodboards, circulation and needs analysis, spatial reorganization, furniture design, and biophilic studies.

    • Wall design: dynamic shelving system with movable rails, iron rods, and suspended mirrors, allowing flexibility and decorative integration.

    • Deliverables: 3D models, renders, technical manuals, supplier coordination, and supervised implementation.

    • Nature integration through the green roof gave Óptima Visión a distinctive identity.

    • The brand space expanded its role from an optical lab to a community hub where people could work, gather, and experience culture.

    • The industrial-vintage style with Patagonian accents connected with local identity while remaining modern and versatile.
